Working to Make a difference

Over the summer Soroptimist International Santa Clara Silicon Valley (SISCSV) was busy.
We won awards for contributions to Founder Pennies and for supporting the Dream Big campaign. Both these funds help not just woman in Silicon Valley, they contribute to support woman and girls around the world.
SISCSV had our FIRST ever Dream it Be it program for girls in the Santa Clara area. We partnered with The Young Woman’s group in the Santa Clara The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We were able to work with 10 girls and teach about the importance of making a dream for their future goals. We also partnered with Tactica Training Group in Santa Clara to bring some basic self defense as part of our Dream it Be it program.
All the above community contributions are made possible because of our friends who support of SISCSV. Either directly by making contributions or attending our Classy Bag Affaire event we hope to have your support again this next year!

The Classy Bag Affaire

We had a VERY exciting Handbag Auction Luncheon, May 20, 2023!
The designer purses filled with event tickets: (Taylor Swift concert), 49ers, Warriors, Golf packages, Vacations, Legos, or Sail away on the Bay plus many, many more were in high demand during the auction.
And… all our AMAZING Door prizes, and raffle Baskets brought many smiles! We had a new feature this year, we had the SaleMaker Acuctioneers featuring Forrest O’Brien and Dave Goularte.

Angie Souza, passed away August 27th. She has been a member of Soroptimist International Santa Clara Silicon Valley club for almost 50 years. Angie and her husband owned Souza’s Bakery on the El Camino in Santa Clara for years and so many of us bought their delicious bakery goods and some even got our wedding cakes there.
