Passing of member, Angie Souza

Angie Souza, passed away August 27th. She has been a member of Soroptimist International Santa Clara Silicon Valley club for almost 50 years. Angie and her husband owned Souza’s Bakery on the El Camino in Santa Clara for years and so many of us bought their delicious bakery goods and some even got our wedding cakes there.

Angie was a beautiful woman with a kind spirit. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.

Vision and Mission

Soroptimist International of Santa Clara Silicon Valley invites you to join a dynamic, caring group of business, professional and women from all walks of life, dedicated to improving the well-being of women and girls.

Chartered in 1924, SISCSV has consistently provided a lively, motivated atmosphere where women of all ages come together for service and friendship.  It is almost impossible to calculate the tens of thousands of dollars SISCSV has contributed to this community or to measure our impact in improving quality of life through our generous donations of time and service.

SISCSV meets once a month at a Santa Clara restaurant for a business meeting.   All members join at least one committee which may meet at a separate time.

Through our international organization, we join over 90,000 women in nearly 120 countries, working to improve conditions for women and girls around the globe.  Soroptimists hold a seat at the United Nations and keep members informed and involved with issues and special projects helping women and girls worldwide.
